Israeli strikes pressured Syria amid Druze-related ceasefire
Israel struck civilian and government facilities in Damascus, after which al-Sharaa accused Israel of inciting chaos. Netanyahu as saying a ceasefire was “achieved through strength” and as vowing to prevent Syrian troop deployments south of Damascus. The strikes are pressure intended to protect Syria’s Druze population.
